About the Fellowship of St. Aidan

Our Story

The Fellowship of St. Aidan was formed in 2024 under the leadership of Fr. Timothy Doubblestein and is resident in the Diocese of All Saints of the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA).

Our Beginnings

It began with a small group of Anglicans who felt called to a deeper, more intentional Christian life—one shaped by prayer, community, and a shared Rule. While not a monastic order in the strict sense, we were inspired by the monastic tradition and sought to live semi-communally, supporting one another in a life of daily devotion and mutual care.

Inspired by St. Aidan

Our patron, St. Aidan of Lindisfarne, embodied the gentle strength and missionary spirit we admire: rooted in prayer, committed to simplicity, and tireless in pastoral care. In his spirit, we strive to live lives of hospitality, humility, and quiet witness.

A Ministry of Presence

As part of this calling, the Fellowship stewards Lindisfarne on the Lake, a prayer retreat location on the shore of Lake Huron in Northeastern Michigan. There, we host individuals and small groups seeking rest, renewal, and time set apart for prayer.

A Worshiping Community

We also serve as the worshiping community of Lindisfarne on the Lake. Our rhythm of prayer includes weekday Morning Prayer at 9:00 am, as well as Sunday celebrations of the Great Litany and Holy Eucharist (9:45 & 10:30 am). These liturgies are open to all who wish to join us in worship and encounter the presence of God through Word and Sacrament.

Walking Together in Faith

At our heart, we are a community learning to walk together—anchored in the ancient practices of the Church, listening to the Holy Spirit, and seeking to be faithful in this time and place. If you live in Iosco County or anywhere in Northeastern Michigan and would like to learn more about becoming part of The Fellowship of St. Aidan, please email us at staidan.fellowship@gmail.com. Better yet, come and worship with us during any of our public services.
