Worship with The Fellowship of St. Aidan at Lindisfarne on the Lake
“Seven times a day I praise you for your righteous ordinances.” — Psalm 119:164
At the heart of life at Lindisfarne on the Lake is worship—a simple, reverent rhythm of prayer shaped by the ancient practices of the Church and the Celtic tradition. We gather daily to offer praise, intercession, silence, and thanksgiving to the Triune God.
All are welcome to join us—retreat guests, visitors, neighbors, and pilgrims alike.
Our Rhythm of Prayer
The Fellowship of St. Aidan follows a daily rhythm of common prayer patterned after the Daily Office. Services are rooted in Scripture, silence, sung liturgy, and intercession for the world.
Current schedule (seasonal adjustments may apply)
- Morning Prayer — 9:00 AM
- Great Litany & Holy Eucharist – 10:00 AM Sunday
- Guided Retreat guests will also participate in
- Mid-Day Prayer – 12:00 Noon
- Evening Prayer – 5:00 PM
- Compline – 8:30 PM
Worship is held in our chapel space, or occasionally outdoors, weather permitting.
What to Expect
- Simple, contemplative liturgy drawn from Anglican and Celtic sources
- Silence and stillness held with care
- Scripture readings following the daily lectionary
- Occasional chant and music
- Prayer for the Church, the world, and all who seek God
Whether you join for a single service or for the full rhythm, your presence is a gift.
Worship During Your Retreat
As a retreat guest, you are warmly encouraged to join the Fellowship for any of the daily prayers. You may also use the chapel at any time for private prayer and reflection. A variety of historical Books of Common Prayer are available in the cabin for personal or shared use. The Fellowship of St. Aidan uses the 2019 Book of Common Prayer (ACNA) for our common worship.

Throughout the year, we also offer:
- Feast day liturgies (e.g. St. Aidan, St. Cuthbert, Pentecost)
- Holy Week and Advent services
