Welcome to Lindisfarne on the Lake
A sacred space of rest, renewal, and prayer on the shores of Lake Huron.
Nestled along the shoreline of Lake Huron in Northeastern Michigan, Lindisfarne on the Lake is a prayer retreat house rooted in the Anglican tradition and dedicated to serving those seeking a deeper life of prayer, silence, and spiritual renewal.
Our Inspiration
Inspired by the ancient Celtic Christian community of Lindisfarne, our mission is to provide a place of refuge and restoration for clergy and laity alike—especially within the Anglican Church in North America. We also warmly welcome Christians of many traditions who seek stillness, sacred rhythm, and space to listen for the voice of God.
A Place Apart
Whether you’re looking for:
- Individual retreats to rest and pray in solitude,
- Small group gatherings for shared spiritual growth,
- Clergy respite and quiet restoration,
- Or guided retreats with spiritual direction,
Lindisfarne offers a simple and peaceful setting where you can reconnect with God away from the noise of daily life.
Sacred Resources & Setting
Retreat guests have access to:
- A private lakeside cabin for rest and reflection,
- A chapel for personal and shared worship,
- A small library of spiritual classics,
- Prayer books and hymnals in the Anglican tradition,
- The natural beauty of the Lake Huron shoreline, where creation itself invites you into stillness and praise.
Our Anglican Identity
While we serve Christians from many traditions, our life and ministry are deeply shaped by the rhythms and theology of the Anglican Way. Lindisfarne on the Lake is a space of gentle hospitality, contemplative prayer, and faithful witness to the transforming grace of Christ.
